Radioactive BARF

I spent a few years on a nuclear submarine, and in the course of routine maintenance and sampling of primary coolant, there were times when I would come into contact with contamination, causing brief periods of being radioactive until the decontamination was completed.  Otherwise, I like listening to the riff raff associated with the AARG (of which I can be included with the AARP finger of AARG) ... primarily prefer VHF but have been listening to HF as of late.  Amazed that GMRS is not more popular in this area .... operate Yaesu ft-817nd, ft-857d and ft-450d, but the Baofeng AR152 is my goto favorite  ... on air I go by BARF, but out and about folks know me as Rich (or Hey Ewe!)
