My name is Charlie Way and I’ve always been interested in radio since I got a boombox in 1982 and it had a short wave 1 and 2 band. I am a retired cyber security specialist. I was a ham radio operator in 1994, but life took over and I let my certificate lapse. Since I have a lot of time on my hands, due to being disabled,I decided to retake my exam and got recertified on December 19, 2025. I am immensely enjoying the hobby and I’ve met some great people, especially within the AARG. I am also into GMRS, my call is WSKU222. Thanks again for accepting me.

yessir, the folks in the AARG are an interesting group ... and good for a friendly radio check when you get new gear
