Some of the students of the Berkeley CERT class participated in an exercise on the Air Force base in North Charleston which simulated an airplane crashing into the crowd of an air show ... Participants were local fire depts, EMS, VA Hospital, as well as air base personnel, some students from Nuke Power School, and folks from other county CERT teams ... they had the fire training roaring to life with a fire at the training "plane" which was put out by fire crews, then there were about 25 folks all dolled up with make up looking like burns, amputations, and other injuries ... very interesting ... close to 200 folks were there ... next week is an air show, so this blew the cobwebs off the emergency procedures to be taken ... we were provided a decent box lunch. My beard got an honorable mention by the head mucky mucks in charge <grin>
