Any good sources of decent quality ferrite snap on choke beads that are reasonably priced?  Thanks

this link is to a very good source for cables, rfi chokes, and a lot more ... shipping is expensive (from AZ) driving the cost up for small orders ... they do offer free shipping for Black Friday/Monday if you can wait    link}:  DX. Store Amateur Radio Equipment, Parts and Accessories

@barf my expirience with snap on ferrite beads is limited, but here is what I know. Good quality would be the ablility to stay snapped on. I don't know what would be qualitative about the amount of ferrite in the bead itself. So, this is an item I would probably try to save money on. if you are willing to try some out, I have two sizes availible I think that they are 9mm and 11mm. for some reference, the 9mm will not snap on my 400 type line and the 11mm snaps on but slides around. I think the diameter of my line is .406 inches. let me know and next time I will give you a handful.

@kqr4zim "...the ablility to stay snapped on" ... roger that ... i reckon some electrical tape or a zip tie would work, but come on folks ... also the mix of the metal ... it is ferrite or some hazardous material the chinese snicker about when they sell the rfi chokes to the silly american round eyes

Palomar engineers has several good articles on RFI and they sell various ferrites.  Beads don't work too well unless you can get several loops of the cable through the bead.  1 pass through a bead is almost worthless for attenuation.
