Get Involved with Your Radio Club!
We're thrilled by the incredible growth of our radio club, reaching 68 members in less than a year and achieving so much together! We know we can do even more with your help, and there are many ways for you to get involved, no matter your experience level.
Here are some ideas to consider:
  • Join a Working Group: These groups tackle specific projects and initiatives within the club. If you're interested in contributing to a particular area, just ask any board member – they can advise you on available groups and how to join.
  • Be an Event Coordinator: Our events are a huge part of what makes our club great, but it takes many hands to organize them. Step up and help coordinate an event! It's a fantastic way to contribute and ensures the same dedicated folks aren't always shouldering the responsibility.
  • Attend Monthly Meetings: Whether you prefer to speak up with ideas or simply listen and learn, your presence at our monthly meetings is valuable. It's where we discuss club business, plan future activities, and share important information.
  • Support Fundraisers (Raffles): Our raffles help fund club activities. Consider selling tickets to help us reach our goals, or if you're feeling lucky, buy some and you might win a great prize!
  • Join Monthly Get-Togethers: These informal gatherings are perfect for getting to know your fellow members better, sharing experiences, and building friendships within the club.
  • Be a Net Controller or Logger: Want to gain confidence on the air? Volunteering as a net controller or logger during our radio nets is an excellent opportunity to hone your microphone skills and learn the ropes of net operations.
  • Become an Elmer: If you have expertise in a particular area of amateur radio, consider becoming an Elmer. Share your knowledge and mentor newer members – it's incredibly rewarding and helps strengthen our collective skills.
Your participation, in any form, makes a real difference! We look forward to seeing you get more involved and helping our club continue to thrive.
