I own a ccradio-ep which is the original analog, but Bob Crane had to shift to digital chip due to parts running out for analog, but he still kept the analog dial, and it is still a very good radio in the "pro" version ... a great feature is the TWIN COIL FERRITE antenna ... great to have just in case an emergency pops up ... Bob Crane designed this radio because his mother wanted a simple easy to operate old school radio, and he wanted a good radio to listen to AM talk radio, since he was a fan of Art Bell and Rush Limbaugh. This radio delivers on voice radio shows ... and the easily adjustable twin coil ferrite antenna pulls in the distant hard to hear AM stations, works very well with FM also ... I have been very happy with mine ... I bought my first one from Bob years back at his little store in Fortuna, CA (ended up giving it to a friend) ... the next one I bought on Ebay very reasonably ... I like the old analog stuff. Runs a very long time on 4 D cells, and has a wall wart as well.
